Our dear friend Amy Sellers got married this past weekend. Here are a few pictures of the weekend!

Good to look at, bad to eat

That was the consensus on the Lightning McQueen cake. It took no less than three hours to ice, and less than three seconds for every single kid at Porter's party to say, "Mrs. Young, this cake tastes nasty!" At first I thought they were just being picky, or joking around, but it actually did taste incredibly bad. Way too much bitter red icing. But, the rest of Porter's party went off without a hitch. A Meeting of the Minds

Last week the kids and I went to Clinton, where Amy Booth, Jessica White and I continued on with our tradition of trying to get together three times a year. Next year we're all going to need bigger couches to fit all the kids!

Porter has been eagerly anticipating t-ball for several weeks now. Here is some of his best action shots- practicing with dad, posing in his practice jersey, and chilling at the game with his friends. Bet you wish you looked that cute in tight white pants.

Porter and Riley's friends Ben and Gracie Atkinson came over today and they completely arranged this pciture op by themselves. They picked out their outfits, sat on the swing and directed me to take their picture. They may have been confused and thought we were going to go trick-or-treating afterwards, but I thought it was awfully ambitious of them.

Happy Easter from the Youngs! Monnee (Brice's mom) and Mikey came to visit for a fun filled Easter weekend. The big kids had fun fishing with Mikey and dad on Saturday. Sunday after church we had Easter lunch and an egg hunt at the Stayer's house. We attempted a family photo after church- unfortunately Lizzie's bonnet was just a little out of place. Elizabeth Jane Young

For those of you who have been asking, that is Lizzie's full name. In our rush to get the initial pictures up, we neglected to announce her official name! Lizzie and I came home from the hospital Wednesday night! It was so good to be home and the kids were about to burst to have their sister here. They have been really good adjusting to having a new sister and learning how to hold her. Porter is a natural-he is so gentle with her and would hold her all day if I would let him. Riley loves her new sister to death but is a little more interested in what she is wearing and making sure her socks match, so we're relieved to know Lizzie will always have an in-home stylist at her beck and call. My mom has been here since her birth, and my dad got here today, so the kids are really glad to have KK and Poppy here! Riley is excited to have her sister at home for her birthday tomorrow, and we're all trying to enjoy the hectic state of our home. Here are some long promised new pictures!

Ain't No Party Like a Pink Princess Party. .

. . . cause a pink princess party don't stop. Well, Riley's party did have to come to an end, but she could have played with her friends all day! Her third birthday is next Saturday, so we celebrated early with a party that (hopefully) lived up to her specifications. Pink food, pink presents, pink drinks, pink balloons. . . she even made Porter and Daddy wear pink, although Porter quickly took advantage of the fact that the girls were playing dress-up and changed into his Superman outfit. Here she is on her pink horse waiting for her friends to arrive. Happy Birthday Riley!
