Tu-tu Cute

One cool thing about having a little sister is you can force your love of dress up on them at an early age and hope that they will grow to love it as much as you. That's what Riley says anyways.

The Great Indoors

When the afternoons are hot, the indoor tents go up. Can you spot two cute kids who made this tent completely by themselves all during the time it takes me to shower?

Monkey Cowboy

I wish these guys would stop by the Burg. Besides It's a Monkey on a Dog! What else do you need??

Riley-lina Ballerina

Riley is so excited about her ballet classes, she just had to try on her outfit today and strike a few poses. Granted, the classes don't start til August, but she will be counting down the days.

I've been baptized

Lizzie was so exhausted after her baptism, but she managed to pose for a few pictures with her adoring public. She snuggled up to Poppy, enjoyed basking in the adoring gaze of Mr. Ernie, posed with her brother and sister, and managed to forgive Clint for pouring water all over her long enough to allow him to be in the same picture with her. Hope you enjoy these post-baptism pictures.

Riley could only take all this seriously for so long

Prelude to a Cry

Looking at this picture you would never know that just 20 minutes later she would scream bloody murder as soon as our good friend Clint Wilcke baptized her. This is probably the most alert and happy she's been for a picture yet. Ignorance truly is bliss!

Good to look at, bad to eat

That was the consensus on the Lightning McQueen cake. It took no less than three hours to ice, and less than three seconds for every single kid at Porter's party to say, "Mrs. Young, this cake tastes nasty!" At first I thought they were just being picky, or joking around, but it actually did taste incredibly bad. Way too much bitter red icing. But, the rest of Porter's party went off without a hitch. Check out Porter's obnoxiously large goggles.

Five Years Young

Porter had a great fifth birthday. He got to go to Krispy Kreme for breakfast, went swimming all day and even had about 100 people sing to him tonight at church. He is a very content birthday boy, and he hasn't even had his party yet! Here are some pictures of the day. As you can see, Lizzie clearly had an exhausting day. . .

A Meeting of the Minds

From left: Sydney White, Ava and Sophie Booth, Porter, Lizzie and Riley.
Last week the kids and I went to Clinton, where Amy Booth, Jessica White and I continued on with our tradition of trying to get together three times a year. Next year we're all going to need bigger couches to fit all the kids!
