Jesus Took My Polly Pockets

Yesterday Riley said she wanted to play with her Polly Pockets. I asked her if she knew where the box was that we keep them in, and she replied, "Jesus took my Polly Pockets." I said, "Riley, why do you think Jesus took your Polly Pocket box?" "Because he did, because He likes them." Once we found the box I told her, see, Jesus didn't take your Polly Pockets, they are right here. "No, Jesus brought them back, tomorrow he will take them again." Sounds like all those catechism questions are really doing their job.

It Takes a Village

Apparently the old saying "it takes two" doesn't apply to mowing the yard. At our house, it takes three.

Happy (Almost) Birthday Poppy!

We celebrated Poppy's impending 58th with a catfish dinner and a cake designed by Porter and Riley, executed by mom. Not all their suggestions made it to the final desgin. The most influential feature not visible to the naked eye? The middle layer- pink with blue sprinkles! Happy birthday Poppy!

Laundry day

Multitasking never looked so cute. Upon further investigation, we found that not everthing on that bed smelled like it was fresh from the dryer.
