It Takes a Village

Apparently the old saying "it takes two" doesn't apply to mowing the yard. At our house, it takes three.

Parking

They're all smiles now, but the sliding race got fierce a few moments after this picture

They like to keep their distance

Do they even need me?

Happy (Almost) Birthday Poppy!

We celebrated Poppy's impending 58th with a catfish dinner and a cake designed by Porter and Riley, executed by mom. Not all their suggestions made it to the final desgin. The most influential feature not visible to the naked eye? The middle layer- pink with blue sprinkles! Happy birthday Poppy!

Laundry day

Multitasking never looked so cute. Upon further investigation, we found that not everthing on that bed smelled like it was fresh from the dryer.

Superheroes and Princesses

Porter and Riley's friends Ben and Gracie Atkinson came over today and they completely arranged this pciture op by themselves. They picked out their outfits, sat on the swing and directed me to take their picture. They may have been confused and thought we were going to go trick-or-treating afterwards, but I thought it was awfully ambitious of them.

Hippity Hop

Happy Easter from the Youngs! Monnee (Brice's mom) and Mikey came to visit for a fun filled Easter weekend. The big kids had fun fishing with Mikey and dad on Saturday. Sunday after church we had Easter lunch and an egg hunt at the Stayer's house. We attempted a family photo after church- unfortunately Lizzie's bonnet was just a little out of place. The ultimate Easter basket

Look at that baby's adorable face

Those Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of . . . March

But it feels like summer in Hattiesburg. The kids have been enjoying the great outdoors and are seriously confused as to why we haven't set up the inflatable pool yet. All in good time, we've got months of this weather to deal with, so it's good to have something to look forward to. Till then washing the van will have to serve as the "water sports" around here.

Whose rag is dirtier?

Shiny happy people.. . .
